A practical experience using electronic debates in the Area of Industrial Organization has been developed. The Harvard case method (HBS) was used with students of different nationalities, over 5 years (2007-2012). The analysis of test records and data from student surveys allow to conclude that the discussion forums, such as alternative to traditional classroom learning methodology, significantly improve learning in the area of Industrial Organization.

Argyros, Ioannis K; Magreñán, Á. Alberto (UNIR); Orcos, Lara (UNIR); Sicilia, Juan Antonio (UNIR) (Journal of Mathematical Chemistry, 08/2017)We present a local convergence analysis for a relaxed two-step Newton-like method. We use this method to approximate a solution of a nonlinear equation in a Banach space setting. Hypotheses on the first Fr,chet derivative ...
Cabrerizo, Francisco Javier; Morente-Molinera, Juan Antonio (UNIR); Perez, Javier Ignacio; Urena, Raquel; Herrera-Viedma, Enrique (Aggregation Functions in Theory and in Practice, 2018)A Group decision making process is carried out when human beings jointly make an election from a possible collection of alternatives. Here, a question of importance is to avoid winners and losers, in the sense that the ...
Local convergence and a chemical application of derivative free root finding methods with one parameter based on interpolation Argyros, Ioannis K; Magreñán, Á. Alberto (UNIR); Orcos, Lara (UNIR) (Journal of Mathematical Chemistry, 08/2016)We present a local convergence analysis of a derivative free fourth order method with one parameter based on rational interpolation in order to approximate a locally unique root of a function. The method is optimal in the ...
