El presente trabajo consiste en un análisis del centro de secundaria público Guindàvols de la ciudad de Lleida, para evaluar cómo sería posible implementar un plan bilingüe en la asignatura de Geografía e Historia de primero de la ESO (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria). Para ello, se han utilizado como instrumentos la observación participante y encuestas a profesores y alumnos para analizar el nivel de dominio de la lengua inglesa de ambos, así como la motivación de dichos colectivos a la hora de aplicar un plan bilingüe en lengua inglesa. Así mismo, se ha analizado los recursos que necesitaría el centro para llevar a cabo tal cometido y qué procedimiento debería adoptarse para conseguirlo. Se concluye con la posible implementación de un plan bilingüe con la propuesta de un año mínimo de preparación.

the following work consists in the analysis of a public high school called Guindàvols situated in the city of Lleida, in Spain. The aim is to analyze how it would be possible to implement a bilingual plan in the subject of Social Sciences in first of ESO (ESO stands for “Educación Secundaria Obligatoria” which means compulsory high school studies). To do so, they have been used instruments like the participative observation and surveys to both teachers and students. The objective of these instruments is to obtain information about the level of English of students and teachers and the motivation of both collectives referring to the implementation of a bilingual plan using the English language. Furthermore, from this point, there is an analysis of the different resources that the centre will need in order to implement the bilingual plan and the steps that would be needed to do so. The conclusions of the research are that it would be possible to implement the bilingual plan with one year of preparation.
