Introduction: bullying is a form of peer violence characterized by intentional and persistent physical and/or psychological persecution without provocation and currently affects millions of minors in the world. Objective: this research analyzes the relationship between attachment and self-esteem in 19 institutionalized minors involved in bullying, trying to find potential risk factors that favor the phenomenon. Methodology: the variable of attachment has been measured with the CaMir.R and the self-esteem with the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. A descriptive and correlational non-experimental design has been used. Results: no statistically significant relationship was found between the variables evaluated. In the sample, the dysfunctional attachment style is the most frequent, as well as a high self-esteem. There is a marked division in gender roles, aggressor boys versus victim girls. Conclusions: it is valued to replicate the study in a larger sample to deepen the assessment of attachment and self-esteem in this population.
