El papel de la comunicación en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje es uno de los principales factores que intervienen en el mundo educativo, tanto dentro como fuera del aula. La educación es, sobre todo, un proceso de comunicación y socialización del individuo, por lo tanto debemos tener muy presente la importancia de que se produzca de una manera correcta y eficaz. En este artículo nos centramos en las distintas formas de comunicación en el aula, así como en cuáles son las circunstancias personales que deben estar presentes para que se dé esa comunicación eficaz que propicia el verdadero proceso educativo. Los docentes deberían tener presente, entre otras cosas, el tono de voz con el que hablan, las palabras que utilizan o las situaciones en las que se comunican. También se analizan los posibles obstáculos que pueden interferir en una buena comunicación, así como el modo de superarlos. Por último, se estudia la comunicación desde las perspectivas del profesor y del alumno, analizando tanto el aspecto verbal como el no verbal.

The role of communication in the teaching-learning process is one of the main factors that take part of the educational world, both inside and outside the classroom. Education is, above all, a process of communication and socialization of the individual, therefore we must bear in mind the importance of producing it in a correct and effective way. In this article we focus on the different forms of communication in the classroom, as well as on the personal circumstances that must be present in order for that effective communication take place that fosters the true educational process. Teachers should bear in mind, among other things, the tone of voice when they speak, the words they use or the situations in which they communicate. It also discusses possible obstacles to good communication and how to overcome them. Finally, communication is studied from the teacher's and student's perspectives, analysing both the verbal and non-verbal aspects.
