The current work deals with the use of the Interactive whiteboard as an effective educative tool for the functions and their graphical representation through software that the students of first of Baccalaureate in Sciences and Technology perform. In the theoretical framework the effectiveness of the Interactive whiteboard is checked, previous studies are reviewed and the most common errors and difficulties written down in their notes of the notebooks and in their exams are analyzed. In the field study the inclusion of mathematical software to help overcoming the present methodological limitations related to the graphical representations as an innovative solution is discussed. For that a survey to professors and students in first of Baccalaureate in Sciences and Technology of different educational centers is proposed. A Didactic proposal is presented and grounded to teach the topic of functions in 1st of Baccalaureate in Sciences and Technology. The main conclusion is the necessity of training courses for teachers and the positive view of the Interactive whiteboard from students and teachers. The most meaningful future research is the adaptation of the different software to other topics to make students get accustomed to using programs and to bring them closer to mathematics from another angle and the study of the inclusion of training programs in the Interactive whiteboard, among others.es_ES
