El estudio analiza las líneas de investigación que se reflejan en la amplia bibliografía sobre el músico Pedro Rimonte sin pretender realizar un examen exhaustivo de toda la producción existente. La cronología estudiada comprende desde las ediciones producidas a principios del siglo XVII hasta las últimas publicaciones realizadas en la actualidad, con la mención de más de cien volúmenes que incluyen información del compositor o su obra. El análisis divide la bibliografía examinada en cuatro etapas que se exponen por orden cronológico y se definen por los aspectos más relevantes con respecto al progreso de las investigaciones. El estudio de la evolución bibliográfica muestra la adaptación del contenido a algunas corrientes historiográficas e ideológicas imperantes en cada época y descubre la permanencia de algunos errores que todavía se mantienen en las publicaciones actuales.

The study analyzes the lines of research reflected in the extensive bibliography that includes the composer Pedro Rimonte among its pages, without intending to carry out an exhaustive examination of all the existing production. The chronology studied ranges from the editions produced at the beginning of the 17th century to the latest publications made today. The analysis includes more than one hundred volumes that mention the composer or his work, which are divided into four stages presented in chronological order and defined by the evolution of research over time. The study of how the bibliography evolved shows the adaptation of the content to some musicological and ideological currents prevailing in each era and discovers the permanence of some errors in the historiography that are still maintained in current publications. © 2021 UNIV CARLOSIII MADRID.
