conductas sustentables.
Descripción:
Human behavior and promoting human well-being is part of psychology,
Conservation psychology (CP) investigates the interactions between human
behavior and the socio-physical environment, the CP recognizes and accepts the
concept of sustainability with all its dimensions, Therefore, the objective was to
evaluate the sustainability of food systems based on the dimensions of the SAFA
(FAO) evaluation framework including psychological dimensions of sustainability,
in rural populations: Kichwa, Shuar and Mestizos - Settlers, located in the Strip
of Diversity and Life of the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve. It was used in SAFA
methodology (116 questions) and a questionnaire (38 questions) of the psychological
dimension, whose answers were based on the Likert scale. It was evidenced that
the psychological dimension with its components: 1) proecological, 2) frugal,
3) altruistic, 4) equanimous, contribute to the understanding of the dynamics of
sustainability in the populations evaluated, considering the importance of people’s
psychological properties to achieve sustainable behaviors.
