The present end-of-degree project shows a proposal of didactic unit which is focused on the
affective and emotional dimension of pupils of 4th course of primary school in the Spanish
Language and Literature subject. The basic pedagogic tool that is used is the tale and the
methodology encompasses both reading and production of literary fragments and of fragments of
oral and written reflection by the schoolchildren. For that purpose, we start from a theoretical
framework about the relationship between language and thought, and about the contributions of
the main theories on intelligence and emotional education. Once the objectives of the present
project are defined, we will tackle the pedagogic proposal of a series of activities framed in a
didactic unit, which will help the students to recognize basic emotions in themselves and in the
others, as well as to improve their understanding, interpretation and interaction with the world
that surrounds them
