Este trabajo fin de máster recoge una propuesta de intervención que consiste en la utilización del programa BIM (Building Information Modeling- Modelado de la construcción de la edificación) Autodesk Revit como recurso educativo en la unidad didáctica de “Instalaciones en Viviendas” en 4ºESO. El objetivo principal de la misma es aumentar la motivación de los alumnos y mejorar su comprensión de la materia. Así mismo, trabajar mediante modelos tridimensionales pretende contextualizar la materia y las explicaciones generando un aprendizaje significativo y profundo, además de mejorar la capacidad espacial de los alumnos.
Esta propuesta nace de la brecha existente a día de hoy en la educación entre las metodologías tradicionales en uso y el nuevo entorno digital de los alumnos. Se ha seleccionado esta herramienta debido a su gran atractivo, la facilidad con la que se “construyen” edificios virtuales y la forma en la que se interactúa con ellos. Se pretende con el mismo llamar la atención de los alumnos con el fin de que muestren un mayor interés y cercanía por la materia.
Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica y un análisis de la información existente para profundizar en los diferentes aspectos y poder, por un lado, confirmar la viabilidad del programa para los fines propuestos y, por otro lado, tomarlo como base para realizar una propuesta acorde a las necesidades detectadas.
En esta propuesta de intervención no solo se propone el uso del programa Revit para realizar el diseño de las viviendas y sus instalaciones, sino que también se propone su uso para impartir la teoría a través de modelos tridimensionales. De esta manera, los alumnos pueden visualizar las instalaciones con su forma real y entenderlas en su conjunto, permitiendo además interactuar con el contenido de una manera activa y dinámica durante las explicaciones.

This master’s final project presents a proposal for a teaching experience which uses the BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology based software Autodesk Revit as an educational resource in the subject of Technology, specifically in the unit of “Housing Systems”, during the fourth course of Secondary Education. Its main objective is to increase the motivation of the students and improve their understanding of the theme. Working through three-dimensional models, also pretends to contextualize the subject to attain a significantly deeper level of learning and to improve the spatial capacity of the students.
This proposal has been developed in response to the distance that exists nowadays in education between the traditional methodologies in use and the new digital environment of students. This software has been selected due to its appeal, the facility with which virtual buildings are “built” and the way to interact with them. It is intended to attract the attention of the students in order to achieve a greater interest of, and immersion in the subject.
A review and analysis of the existing information has been carried out to establish an awareness of the different aspects and, on the one hand, to confirm the viability of the software for the proposed objectives and, on the other hand, to use as a base for designing a proposal according to the needs previously identified.
This intervention not only proposes the use of Revit for modeling the buildings and its systems, but also proposes its use to impart the theory through three-dimensional models. In this way, the students can visualize the systems with their real form and understand them as a whole, also allowing them to interact with the content in an active and dynamic way during the explanations.
