El presente trabajo plantea una propuesta de intervención didáctica de la materia de
Educación Física (EF) para alumnos/as de quinto curso de Educación Primaria (EP) en un
centro educativo de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria.
El objetivo principal del trabajo consiste en destacar la importancia de los deportes
tradicionales y autóctonos como signos de identidad regional. Para ello se ha elaborado
una unidad didáctica (UD) basada en el Bolo Palma, uno de los deportes más
representativos de la cultura tradicional cántabra.
Al tratarse de una actividad lúdica, y ligada a una identidad propia se van a fomentar
también elementos transversales como: la motivación, el compañerismo, la capacidad de
superación y el respeto.
A modo de conclusión, a través de esta UD, que constará de ocho sesiones, además de
mejorar la condición física de los alumnos/as se pretende dar a conocer el juego de los
bolos como incontestable patrimonio cultural.

The present work gets up a proposal of educational intervention in Physical Education (PE)
subject for Primary Education (PE) fifth grade students in a Cantabrian Community
Educating Centre.
The main objective of this work consists of emphasize the importance that traditional and
indigenous sports have as a symbol of regional identity. For this proposal, has been
prepared a Didactic Unit (DU) based on the Bolo Palma, one of the most representative
sports of the Cantabrian traditional culture.
Because it is a question of fun activity and it is linked to a proper identity, transverse
elements are also going to be encouraged, values like: motivation, fellowship, overcoming
capacity and respect.
In conclusion, through this DU, which will take eight sessions, in addition to improving the
physical condition of the students is intended to learn the bowling game as an
unanswerable cultural heritage.
