masterThesisResumen:
This study explores two variables of executive functioning in a group of 30 college students pursuing engineering programs in Bogotá. The evaluation was performed using a scale metacognitive development and two subtests (arithmetic and digit span) of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for adults (WAIS -IV). The results indicated that there is no relationship between the variables, which invites them to continue research to determine the relationship between executive functions. Finally, an intervention program to develop skills in both metacognition and working memory, favoring the learning process is proposed. In turn some teaching strategies for teachers in higher education are presented.

Differential Patterns of Connectivity in Progressive Mild Cognitive Impairment
Bajo, Ricardo ; Castellanos, Nazareth; Cuesta, Pablo; Aurtenetxe, Sara; Garcia-Prieto, Juan; Gil-Gregorio, Pedro; del pozo, Francisco; Maestú, Fernando (Brain Connectivity, 05/2012)It is now widely accepted that Alzheimer's disease is characterized by a functional disconnection between brain regions. The disease appears to begin up to decades prior to clinical diagnosis. Therefore, in the present ... -
Synchronization during an internally directed cognitive state in healthy aging and mild cognitive impairment: a MEG study
López, María Eugenia; Garcés, Pilar; Cuesta, Pablo; Castellanos, Nazareth; Aurtenetxe, Sara; Bajo, Ricardo ; Marcos, Alberto; Montenegro, Mercedes; Yubero, Raquel; del pozo, Francisco; Sancho, Miguel; Maestú, Fernando (AGE, 06/2014)Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a stage between healthy aging and dementia. It is known that in this condition the connectivity patterns are altered in the resting state and during cognitive tasks, where an extra effort ... -
