Intervención psicoeducativa a una alumna con síndrome de Rett

Resumen:
Este trabajo está basado en una propuesta de intervención psicopedagógica con una
alumna con síndrome de Rett en una escuela ordinaria de primer ciclo de educación
infantil. Son muchas las dificultades que presenta el alumnado con este tipo de
enfermedad, de las denominadas raras, y desde la escuela ordinaria se deben
encontrar estrategias para poder atender sus necesidades. Dicha propuesta se centra
en adaptar las actividades que se realizan en el aula con el objetivo de integrar a la
alumna en ellas, así como pequeñas adaptaciones ya sean materiales o bien
metodológicas para poder propiciar la relación entre los alumnos y la de la alumna
con los adultos que forman parte de la comunidad educativa.
Es necesario dotar de recursos y formación a los profesionales que se dedican a la
enseñanza para poder realizar actividades que puedan potenciar las capacidades de
todos los alumnos del aula y así poder atender a la diversidad que se presenta en
ellas. Por este motivo, en este trabajo se presenta en primer lugar una revisión del
estado de la cuestión sobre la atención a la diversidad, necesidades educativas
especiales y el síndrome de Rett.
Es necesario mantener el contacto permanente con otros profesionales que puedan
orientar al profesorado en dicha tarea y a su vez poder dar una atención integral al
alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales en general.
Se proponen un conjunto de estrategias para promover el contacto visual, la
estimulación de los sentidos y potenciar la capacidad de atención de dicha alumna.
Cabe destacar los cambios no sólo materiales y organizativos que se producen en
aquellas aulas en la que encontramos alumnos con necesidades educativas especiales,
si no los personales tanto en el equipo docente como en las relaciones y
comportamientos del grupo pese a la temprana edad. Por otro lado, es importante
que se establezca una relación bidireccional con la familia para poder ayudar, de
forma primordial a la alumna pero también su entorno inmediato, la familia.

This essay is based on a proposal on an educational psychology intervention with a
student with Rett syndrome, in an ordinary school during her first cycle of Pre-School
Education. There are many difficulties when it comes to work with students who
suffer from this rare disease and schools must find the appropriate strategies to meet
their students’ needs. The aim of this proposal is to be able to adapt the activities that
will take place in the class in order to integrate the student in the class routine, as
well as adapting materials or methodologies to promote the interaction between the
student and the rest of the class and/or all the members of the school community.
It is necessary to have resources and teacher training in order to know how to
prepare activities that promote the abilities of all the students in the class and deal
with the diversity you find in it. For this reason, in this work it is introduced in the
first place the state of the question about the attention to diversity, special education
needs and Rett syndrome.
It is necessary to be in permanent contact with other professionals that can guide our
teachers in this task, so that they can be able to give a comprehensive care to students
with special educational needs.
We also look for strategies to contribute to the visual contact, the stimulation of the
senses and to foster the attention span of this student.
All the changes should be noted. Not only the material changes and the changes in
the organization of the classes in which we find students with special educational
needs, but also the changes amongst the teachers and in the relationships and the
behaviors of the group even though they are very young. Furthermore, it is important
to stablish a bidirectional relationship with the family so that we can help our
student, but also her immediate environment, her family.
