dc.description	The present study attempts to acknowledge the work developed by the secondary school IES Lekeitio in the Agenda 21 program. Firstly, it is presented the history of the movement toward sustainability, taking as reference the first summit of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil, 1992), to examine more closely what the School Agenda 21 is and how this program has resulted in this little town of Lekeitio (Bizkaia). The information that has been used to prepare this paper is on the one hand all the archived information about the program in the center, and on the other the information provided by the coordinator of the program. This vision is complemented by informal conversations with students and members of the Commission A21E of the institute. The main goal of the study is to provide a diachronic view of how the process works in the secondary school and make some improvements that might be successful in the near future. An important conclusion of the study is that thanks to this program A21E the school has contributed to the environmental education of several generations of students and the implementation of practical measures in favor of the environment, not only at the school but also in the city Lekeitio. Finally, this work can be a starting point for further research on some aspects of the program that still have great potential, if it is developed properly and with the support of all involved educators, families and educational administration.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El trabajo presentado intenta dar a conocer la labor desarrolla por el IES Lekeitio en el programa Agenda 21 Escolar (A21E). En primer lugar, se presenta la historia del movimiento hacia la sostenibilidad, tomando como primera referencia la cumbre de Rio de Janeiro (Brasil, 1992), para analizar con más detenimiento lo que es la Agenda 21 Escolar y cómo se ha plasmado este programa en este pequeño instituto del municipio de Lekeitio (Bizkaia). Este trabajo utiliza, por una parte toda la información archivada sobre el programa en el centro, y por otra parte la información aportada por la coordinadora de la A21E del mismo. Esta visión se complementa con conversaciones informales con alumnos y miembros de la Comisión de A21E del instituto. El objetivo perseguido con el análisis es el de aportar una visión diacrónica del proceso seguido en el centro y presentar algunas propuestas de mejora aplicables en el futuro. Una de las conclusiones del trabajo es que mediante este programa de A21E se ha contribuido en la educación medioambiental de varias generaciones de alumnos y alumnas y se han aplicado multitud de medidas prácticas a favor del medio ambiente, tanto en el propio centro, como en el municipio de Lekeitio. Por último, este trabajo puede servir de punto de partida, para una investigación más profunda sobre algunos aspectos del programa que tienen aún una gran potencialidad, si se abordan con las garantías y el apoyo suficiente de todos los agentes educativos implicados, las familias y la administración educativa.	es_ES
