En este trabajo se ha aplicado un test de lateralidad a 55 niños de una escuela rural. El propósito del presente TFM es analizar la relación existente entre la lateralidad y el aprendizaje de la lectoescritura desde Infantil hasta el tercer ciclo de Primaria para poder llevar a cabo una intervención educativa más eficiente con los niños que así lo requieren.
La metodología llevada a cabo ha sido la observación sistemática a través de métodos de registros propios de una investigación cuantitativa. Los hallazgos muestran que los niños diestros tienen resultados más elevados en las variables velocidad y comprensión, a excepción de los sujetos 7, 8, 9, 12, 13 y 32 presentando valores altos a pesar de no tener una lateralidad totalmente establecida como diestra o zurda. En virtud de estos resultados se establecieron unas líneas de intervención.

In this Project a test of laterality has been put into practice to 55 children at a rural school. The purpose of the present End-of-Master’s Project is to analyze the relationship existing between laterality and the learning of reading and writing from Preschool to the 3rd cycle of Primary education to be able to carry out a more efficient educational intervention with the children that require it.
The methodology used has been the systematic observation through registration methods typical of a quantitative investigation. The findings show that right-handed children have higher results at speed and comprehension except of subjects 7, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 32 who present high values despite not having a totally established right or left-handed laterality. By virtue of these results some lines of action were established.
