dc.descriptionThe aim of this article it is to study the origin, development and consequences of the cholera epidemic of 1885 in Segovia, emphasizing first the number of infections and then the number of victims, focusing both on the differential mortality by age, gender and profession, as in the space, showing the possible sources of appearance, progress and prophylaxis. For this, based mainly on the analysis of primary sources, we aim to reconstruct the course of the disease and its comparison with the rest of the country.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este artículo es estudiar el origen, desarrollo y consecuencias de la epidemia de cólera de 1885 en Segovia, haciendo hincapié primero en el número de contagios y después en el de víctimas, deteniéndonos tanto en la mortalidad diferencial por edad, género y profesión, como en la espacial, mostrando los posibles focos de aparición, avance y profilaxis. Para ello, basándonos principalmente en el análisis de fuentes primarias se pretende reconstruir el paso de la enfermedad y su comparativa con el resto del país.es_ES
