The intervention proposal arises from the interest in creating a space where those families
who are in need or present more difficulties in aspects related to early care services, can
express their doubts and experiences, and respond to them.
To this end, a theoretical framework has been used in which the changes in relationship
models in parent training that have taken place in recent years have been developed,
moving from a model centered on psychotherapy and directive training, where the family
only received the indications of the professional without participating, to a model based on
equal collaboration between the professional and the family, taking into account their
needs.
Therefore, the creation of mutual support groups is proposed as a strategy with the aim of
enabling the family and favouring their empowerment, through the accompaniment and the
guiding role that the professional of reference will have. To achieve this, a series of sessions
have been designed, divided into different themes based on the needs and priorities to be
worked on with the families, in which an attempt will be made to respond to them, and at
the same time, to favour family training and empowerment.
Finally, and in relation to the conclusions, the imminent change of paradigm in the field of
early care services is early intervention, as more and more professionals are deciding to opt
for a methodology in which the family plays the main role, giving it the importance it
deserves, as it is the main provider of learning opportunities for children.
