masterThesisResumen:
Digital communications are part of our reality, and they are increasingly replacing traditional
communications. This fact is even more noticeable for international communications, and ELE
students will probably establish more Spanish interactions in digital media than in
conventional ones. Digital communication has its own rules of conduct that the ELE learner
needs to know. The purpose of this master’s paper is to raise awareness of the importance of
teaching cybercourtesy and netiquette in ELE classrooms, already from the initial stages. This
paper includes some activities the teacher can use to teach digital communication strategies
in their classroom. For this reason, the activities presented aim at advanced A1 or A2 levels
and focus on mobile messaging communications, as it is one of the most versatile and widely
used digital communication media today.
