Covid-mandated social constraints have substantially shifted juvenile relationships to the online realm. Thus, harassment and bullying behaviours have moved to the virtual environments where youngsters socialize and bond together.
Against the backdrop of the ongoing pandemic, this paper argues that harassment among the youth has proliferated as the use of technology of communications has surged to make up for the curtailment of face-to-face gatherings.
The investigation is performed in two stages, building on an initial theoretical approach to the concept of cyberbullying. There follows a field research to test the validity of the starting hypotheses by means of a questionnaire survey conducted among schoolchildren in the sixth grade of elementary education, widely regarded as the age threshold from which such harmful conducts are likely to happen.
