Resumen:
El presente trabajo de investigación nace del interés innato que muestra el autor
en la conjunción que existe entre la docencia y su carrera profesional como
comunicador gráfico.
Es un proyecto de investigación centrado en recopilar documentación sobre
un género artístico bastante experimentado y documentado durante la segunda
mitad del siglo XX y que ahora en la actualidad vuelve a vivir uno de sus mejores
momentos gracias a las nuevas generaciones.
Toda este proceso de investigación me ha servido para poder conocer, profundizar
y teorizar el concepto actual sobre el libro de artista y la relación que puede existir
con el diseño gráfico. Al mismo tiempo, he comprobado que en estos momentos
este género está sufriendo una transformación acelerada por buscar una adaptación
a la digitalización y a la incorporación de las redes sociales por parte de los artistas y
diseñadores más emergentes. Esto no quita que se sigan manteniendo las estructuras
iniciales, pero hay una ebullición por buscar alternativas a una mayor visibilidad y
una interacción con el lector actualizada.

This research work stems from the innate interest shown by the author in
the conjunction between teaching and his professional career as a graphic
communicator.
It is a deep research project that has focused on collecting documentation on a
rather experienced and documented artistic genre during the second half of the
twentieth century and now relives one of its best moments thanks to the new
generations.
This whole research process has helped me to know, deepen and theorize the
current concept about the artist’s book and the relationship that may exist
with graphic design. At the same time, I have verified that at this moment this
genre is undergoing an accelerated transformation by seeking an adaptation to
digitalization and the incorporation of social networks by the most emerging
artists and designers. This does not mean that the initial structures continue to be
maintained, but there is a boil to look for alternatives to greater visibility and an
interaction with the updated reader..
