En este trabajo se presenta un programa de prevención en consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, que será aplicado a estudiantes de ciclo 4 de la Institución Educativa Santa Bárbara, de la localidad de Ciudad Bolívar, cuyo objetivo principal es el de desarrollar en los adolescentes habilidades sociales que ayuden al afrontamiento de conductas riesgosas relacionadas con el consumo de drogas y fundamentado en las teorías del aprendizaje social (Bandura, 1986), la conducta problema (Jessor y Jessor, 1991) y el programa de entrenamiento en habilidades para la vida, (Botvin, 1995).
El programa consistió en 19 sesiones a estudiantes, que incluían talleres informativos acerca de las drogas y sus efectos y consecuencias a corto plazo, talleres de autopercepción y talleres de aprendizaje de habilidades sociales. Además incluyó 6 sesiones para padres con talleres informativos y normas y valores en el hogar.
Al final del programa, en el momento de la evaluación se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los resultados hallados al inicio del programa y al finalizar la aplicación de los talleres.

This document presents a work on prevention drug abuse, that will apply to 4 course students in the Santa Bárbara school, from the Ciudad Bolívar locality, which its main objective is develop teenagers social skills to help coping risky behaviors related with drugs use or abuse and based on Social Cognitive Theory (Bandura, 1986), Problem Behavior Theory (Jessor and Jessor, 1977 - 1991), Risk behavior in adolescence (Jessor 1991) and Life Skill Training (Botvin, 1995). The program consisted on 19 meetings to students that included informative workshops about drugs effects and the short-term consequences, selfperception workshops and social skill training workshops. Furthermore, included 6 meetings to parents with informative and rules and values at home workshops.
At the evaluation time, significant differences were found between the results at the beginning and at the end of the program.
