Reading is not just an academic learning, but it is also a skill that allows us to have full access to information, and therefore, it has a great influence on the way individuals socialize. Its learning requires the development of different skills and abilities and that is why it is considered a difficult process. Reading competency is developed in great measure at schools, and it is here where the discussion is born, on which are the most efficient teaching methods and which are the interventions to be done if the students do not obtain good results using these methods. The Master Thesis which is introduced here is placed at this point, and its goal is to describe the intervention carried out by an innovative process developed in the Universitat de Barcelona, named Binding Method. This method is based on the idea that acquiring a better reading efficiency is related to the training of this ability. According to this, after diagnostic tests (screenings), the method analyses on which moment of the reading learning’s process is the student located and therefore, which are the difficulties and needs of this student. Using this classification, a customized intervention is performed to each one of the students. The goal is not only to improve the reading results of the students showing worse results, but also to help the improvement of all of the students, no matter which is their starting point. This Thesis explains the intervention carried out to help a kid with a Specific Language Impairment, detailing the treatment and the obtained results.es_ES
