La noción espacial es un aspecto fundamental en el desarrollo integral del niño. Para que se desarrolle con éxito, el niño debe entender primeramente el espacio que le rodea en función de su propio cuerpo y después en torno a un objeto. Cada niño presenta unos rasgos individuales diferentes y por lo tanto, un proceso de evolución con respecto a la adquisición espacial distinto. El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado (TFG) trata de verificar si los estudios sobre mapas cognitivos que defienden, que hasta los siete años no existe un dominio completo del espacio, son ciertos. Para ello se pretende analizar cómo perciben el espacio (medio) los niños de 3, 4 y 5 años, a los que se va a someter a 2 tipos de pruebas diseñadas para analizar por un lado, la orientación espacial desde diversas perspectivas y por el otro, el número de hitos, rutas y configuraciones, cuando se les pide
que dibujen el trayecto casa-escuela.

The spatial notion is a fundamental appearance in the comprehensive development of the child. For a successful development, the kid firstly has to understand the space that goes around him/her depending on his own body and then around an object. Each child presents different individual characteristics and therefore the process of evolution towards the space acquisition is different. With this investigation I am going to verify if the studies about cognitive maps which defend
that up the seventh year does not exist an complete control about space, are true. This is intended to analyze how to perceive the space (middle) children 3, 4 and 5 years, which will be subject to two types of tests designed to analyze spatial orientation on the one hand, from various perspectives and on the other hand, the number of milestones, routes and configurations, when asked to draw
the journey home-school.
