| dc.description | The aim of this article is to study the structure, activity and characteristics of the Provincial Beneficence Establishment of Segovia from its origin until the beginning of the spanish civil war (1836-1936). Several sources have been used: the general regulations of the institution, the specific one of the maternity section, the municipal registers of 1860, 1881, 1905 and 1930, the registers of the poor, welfare registers, oral testimonies of foundling, contemporary local press and the Official Gazette of the Province. For its analysis, we will focus on its creation, composition, population helped, operation, social inclusion and daily life of the institution. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de este artículo es reconstruir la estructura, actividad y características del Establecimiento Provincial de Beneficencia de Segovia desde su fundación hasta el comienzo de la guerra civil española (1836-1936). Por este motivo, se han utilizado además del reglamento general de la institución y el específico de la sección de maternidad, los censos municipales de 1860, 1881, 1905 y 1930, padrones de pobres, registros de beneficencia, fuentes orales de personal expósito, prensa local contemporánea y el Boletín Oficial de la Provincia. Para su análisis, nos centraremos en su creación, composición, personal acogido, funcionamiento, reinserción social y vida diaria del centro. | es_ES |
