| dc.description | Literature gathers the way in which humans have conceived life and social relationships. Within it, women have been represented and perceived through masculine lenses. Taking the above into account, this research aims to illustrate the representations made about women in the novel The Sins of Ines de Hinojosa. First, the reader will find a review through the historical and literary context of the novel. Secondly, a narrative study, based on the characters, is presented supported by the Archetype Theory in order to achieve the accurate portrayal of that female universe. The findings of this research demonstrate the universality of such representations from the archetype theory of Victoria Schmidt. She based her theory on Greek goddesses, which simultaneously has a connection to other cultures. This connection highlights the collective imaginary that has been traditionally built around women: the virgin, la femme fatale, the mother, the witch, etc. At the same time, the imaginaries concur with the representations during the colonial period of the New Kingdom of Granada, which determined their place within society and how accurate they depicted it in the novel. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La literatura condensa la forma como los seres humanos hemos concebido la vida y las relaciones sociales, en ella la mujer ha sido representada casi siempre a través de la mirada masculina. Esta investigación busca evidenciar las representaciones que se hacen de la mujer en la novela Los Pecados de Inés de Hinojosa. Se hace un repaso del contexto histórico y literario de la obra, posteriormente se hace el estudio narratológico de los personajes con la ayuda de la teoría arquetípica para lograr así la caracterización de ese universo femenino. Se logra comprobar cómo hay una universalidad en estas representaciones, clasificadas según la propuesta arquetípica de Victoria Schimdt a partir de las diosas griegas, pero que podrían tener también su correspondencia en otras culturas pues coinciden con los imaginarios que tradicionalmente se han construido de las mujeres: la virgen, la mujer fatal, la madre, la bruja etc., estos a su vez concuerdan los imaginarios sobre ellas se tenían durante el periodo colonial en el Nuevo Reino de Granada y que determinaban su lugar en la sociedad y que tan bien se recrean en la novela. | es_ES |
