Resumen:
Pese a los avances obtenidos por el colectivo LGTBI, tanto jurídicos como sociales, para evitar
su discriminación por orientación sexual o identidad de género, siguen siendo frecuentes
actitudes basadas en los prejuicios hacia sus componentes.
Por este motivo, el presente trabajo trata de describir y analizar el fenómeno de los delitos de
odio específicamente dirigidos contra el colectivo LGTBI en España así como su evolución
desde 2014 a 2018. A pesar de que los datos oficiales referentes a la “LGTBIfobia” son todavía
algo dispersos y de reciente recopilación en España, se interpretaran los diferentes informes
y estadísticas existentes al respecto con el objetivo de dar visibilidad a este problema y señalar
sus posibles causas.

Despite the progress made by the LGTBI community, both legally and socially, to avoid
discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, attitudes based on prejudice
towards its constituents continue to be frequent.
For this reason, this paper tries to describe and analyze the phenomenon of hate crimes,
specifically directed against the LGTBI community in Spain, as well as its evolution from 2014
to 2018. Despite the fact that the official data on "LGTBIphobia" is still somewhat dispersed
and recently collected in Spain, the different reports and statistics on the subject will be
interpreted with the aim of giving visibility to this problem and pointing out its possible causes.
