Latin America, mostly made up of countries that implement a primary export model, that is,
they are mono-exporters, it really stands out within the global economic landscape, since
there are no economic integration processes that allow establishing commercial relations that
develop a solid economic-political power within the global order; the setback established by
inefficient trade policies, disadvantages in the international market, political-social crises,
direct or unilateral marketing with powers mainly United States and China, do not allow an
interlink between countries of the same region, creating an economic dependence and a
strong indebtedness external that exceeds its GDP (gross domestic weight).
Regional integration treaties such as Mercosur, FTAA or the WTO (World Trade Organization),
have not achieved significant progress in foreign trade and, above all, have not allowed the
elimination of trade barriers between countries.
