Gamification needs to be applied considering the needs of our students. This research analyses the importance of emotion after accomplishing an online gamified experience with 53 primary school pre-service teachers. After facing a semester-long gamification, they filled a questionnaire about their sensations and preferences. These were analysed to check the pertinence of the gamification. The results show how pre-service teachers liked the gamification which resulted in an enjoyable learning experience that made them feel motivated and satisfied. This could help teachers plan, implement, and evaluate gamification activities embedded in higher education instruction.es_ES
