| dc.description.alternative | Animal is conceived as a philosophical essay in visual form that explores the hypothetical animal nature of human beings in relation to violence. From this premise, a possible parallel is established between aggressive behaviors present in the animal world and certain human manifestations that, at times, seem to disrupt the fragile framework of society. The work reflects on what appears to define human beings both before and after the emergence of civilization. The violent acts that have occurred throughout history suggest the persistence of primary impulses latent in our nature. In this sense, the project proposes an open reflection that invites questioning the relationship between civilization, human nature, and violence. The proposal seeks to generate a sense of unease, discomfort, and even fascination in the viewer by confronting them with images that, in a suggestive, non-literal, and deliberately ambiguous manner, evoke human behavior in its most violent dimension. | |
