Factor de Impacto y comportamiento bibliométrico de las revistas de “Film, Radio & Television” de Web of Science

En el presente artículo se analiza el comportamiento bibliométrico de las revistas incluidas en la categoría “Film, Radio & Television” indexadas en Web of Science, tanto en Arts & Humanities Citation Index como en Emerging Sources Citation Index. Previamente, se estudia la validez del Factor de Impacto a 2 años para la categoría, comparándolo con una ventana de citación de 3 y 5 años para A&HCI, demostrando una alta similitud en su comportamiento, y se analizó la nacionalidad de los centros de adscripción de los autores. También se estudió la lengua de publicación, periodicidad, tipología de los documentos y la red de citación entre revistas. Entre los resultados del trabajo, se ofrece el ranking 2017 de las revistas según su Factor de Impacto. Destaca el que tres cuartas partes del total (74,6%) correspondan al Reino Unido y Estados Unidos, lo que indica un profundo sesgo geográfico e idiomático. Asimismo, solo 26 de las 64 revistas intercambian citas de artículos, sin que exista ningún núcleo central, lo que demuestra falta de cohesión en la selección de las publicaciones.

his article analyses the bibliometric behaviour of the scientific journals included in the category "Film, Radio & Television" indexed in Web of Science (Arts & Humanities Citation Index and Emerging Sources Citation Index). Previously, the validity of the 2 years impact factor for the category was studied, comparing it with a citation window of 3 and 5 years only for A&HCI, demonstrating a high similarity in its behaviour. The nationality of the author's affiliation centres, along with the language of publications, frequency, typology of the documents and the citation net among the journals were also analysed. Among the results, the 2017 ranking of the journals is offered, according to their Impact Factor. It is noteworthy that three quarters of the total journals (74,6%) correspond to United Kingdom and the United States, indicating a deep geographical and linguistic bias. Likewise, only 26 of the 64 journals interchange citations of articles, without any central core, showing a lack of consistency in the selection of the publications.
