When studying acting techniques applied to performing arts, beginner students will have to
be keen on working both on a psychological and a physical level, as well as having to learn about
the different techniques in acting and in body and vocal control; the purpose of this is to achieve an
open, flexible and organic balance of body and mind by means of freeing themselves of mental,
physical and emotional blocks. Our research aim will be studying emotion management as a tool
within actors’ training, whereas our starting point will be the work carried out in the classroom to
find possible pedagogical patterns.
