Estudio correlacional entre inteligencia lingüística, pensamiento creativo y lectoescritura

Durante la etapa escolar, es habitual hallar estudiantes que presentan un sin número de
dificultades en su proceso de adquisición y dominio de la lectura y la escritura. Los estudiantes
han caído en un estancamiento mental en donde la falta de creatividad les impide,
de manera significativa, la creación innovadora y la transformación del conocimiento. Les
cuesta mucho ir más allá de lo que ven y sólo se limitan a dar una breve y pobre descripción
de lo que sus ojos y mente les permiten ver, percibir y pensar. El objetivo del siguiente
estudio fue determinar si la creatividad y la inteligencia lingüística se relacionan con la
adquisición y desarrollo del proceso lectoescritor de un grupo de 30 niños del curso 202
de básica primaria del colegio Instituto Técnico Industrial Piloto. Para dicha investigación
se aplicaron los siguientes test: Test de Análisis de Lectura y Escritura TALE (Toro y Cervera,
2008), Cuestionario de IL (Armstrong, 2000. Adaptación de Prieto y Ballester, 2003)
y test de pensamiento creativo de Torrance (Torrance, 1998, Adaptación de Jiménez, Artilles,
Rodríguez y García, 2007). Los resultados obtenidos en las pruebas aplicadas mostraron
una correlación positiva estadísticamente significativa entre la inteligencia lingüística,
la lectoescritura y la creatividad, demostrando que los niños y niñas que poseen un
pensamiento creativo y una sensibilidad hacia el uso del lenguaje tienen más desarrollado
su proceso lectoescritor, facilitándoseles el aprendizaje y dominio de las habilidades comunicativas
y posiblemente afectando positivamente su rendimiento académico.

During the school years, it’s usual to find students who show difficulties in their acquisition
and manipulating of reading and writing skills. Students have fallen into a mental stagnation
where lack of creativity significantly impedes their innovative creation and transformation
of knowledge. The objective of the following study was to determine if creativity and
linguistic intelligence are related to the acquisition and development of the writing and
reading process of a group of 30 children of the basic primary course 202 of the Technical
Pilot Institute Institute. For this research, the following tests were applied: Reading and
Writing Analysis Test TALE (Toro and Cervera, 2008), IM Questionnaire (Armstrong, 2000,
Adaptation by Prieto and Ballester, 2003), and Torrance Creative Thinking Test (Torrance,
1998, Adaptation of Jiménez, Artiles, Rodríguez and Garcia, 2007). Considering the results
obtained in the tests applied, it was found a statistically significant correlation between
linguistic intelligence, reading and writing and creativity showing that children who
have a creative mind and a sensitivity towards the use of language, have more developed
their reading and writing process, facilitating learning and manipulating of communicative
skills.
