¿Cómo enseñar a apreciar la música clásica y la música popular a través del método Orff?

En esta investigación se realiza un estudio acerca de la metodología Orff como uno de los métodos musicales, surgido en el siglo XX, que más ha influido en el panorama educativo musical.
El objetivo principal consiste en promover el gusto hacia la música moderna y la música culta en el alumnado de la ESO. Para ello, en la unidad didáctica planteada se propone la práctica instrumental como elemento que favorece la motivación, dado que insta a que el alumno asuma un rol activo y se sienta partícipe en la interpretación colectiva. Además, también se pretende que el educando se familiarice con la diversidad de instrumentos Orff que, a su vez, desarrollará las capacidades motrices mediante la interpretación musical y, asimismo, ampliará sus conocimientos en lo referente al repertorio musical (culto/moderno) más representativo de nuestra sociedad.
La metodología utilizada para la realización del marco teórico se fundamenta en publicaciones que abarcan desde 1969, año en que salió publicada la versión española del Orff-Schulwerk, hasta la actualidad y, asimismo, se hace hincapié en las investigaciones más recientes que permite ofrecer el estado actual de la cuestión. Así pues, cabe contextualizarlo como un método instrumental que en los años 50 y 60, al igual que otros como Kodály y Suzuki, se difundió alrededor del mundo y, paulatinamente, se ha erigido en una de las metodologías musicales más influyentes desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX hasta nuestros días. Seguidamente, se describen las principales características del método que, a grandes rasgos, trata la relación entre música, palabra y movimiento.
Con los resultados obtenidos tras la investigación, se dispone a presentar una unidad didáctica enfocada hacia la práctica instrumental y, para ello, se proponen dos temas musicales: el primero de ámbito moderno, Moonlight shadow y el segundo de ámbito culto, la Marcha Turca.

In this research a study about the Orff method as one of the musical methodologies which appeared on the 20th century has become on the musical education scene.
The main objective is to promote the liking for modern and classical music in students of ESO. Therefore, in the proposed teaching unit instrumental practice as an element that favors motivation is presented, given that urges the student to take an active role and feel engaged in collective interpretation. In addition, it is also intended that the student becomes familiar with the diversity of Orff instruments; in turn, developing motor skills through musical performance and also expanding their knowledge in relation to the most representative musical repertoire (classical/ modern) of our society.
The used methodology for the realization of the theoretical framework is based on publications ranging from 1969, when the Spanish version of Orff-Schulwerk was published, to the present and also it emphasizes the latest research that can offer the current issue. Thus, we can contextualize it as an instrumental method in the 50s and the 60s, like others such as Kodály and Suzuki, spread around the world and gradually has emerged as one of the most influential musical methodologies since the second half of the twentieth century until today. Then the main features of the method are described, broadly speaking, discussing the relationship between music, speech and movement.
With the results obtained after the investigation, a teaching unit focused on instrumental practice is introduced and, for it, two musical themes are proposed: the first one of modern style, Moonlight Shadow, and the second one of art music, Turkish March.
