La adaptación como proceso creativo responde a diversas motivaciones, estas señalan las operaciones de transposición que se deben acometer para trasladar un texto de la narrativa a al género dramático. Identificar cómo y en qué planos ocurre la correspondencia entre motivaciones y operaciones, es una tarea que solo puede estudiarse en la práctica. Por tal razón, el trabajo estudia cómo se traslada un texto narrativo a texto dramático, tomando como ejemplo El ahogado más hermoso del mundo de García Márquez.

Adaptation as a creative process exist for various reasons, these operations indicate that transposition should be undertaken to translate a text from the narrative to drama. Identify how and to what levels the correspondence between motivations and operations occurs, is a task that can only be studied in practice. For this reason, the paper examines how a narrative moves to the dramatic text, using the example of El ahogado más hermoso del mundo of García Márquez.
