Resumen

The special issue brings together ten original contributions that examine, from empirical, conceptual, and systematic review perspectives, the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and workplace learning. We contextualize the conditions that prompted this special issue, articulate three structuring theoretical tensions that cut across all contributions—efficiency versus well-being, technological universalism versus cultural specificity, and automation versus human agency—and situate each manuscript within the broader conversation they collectively advance. The editorial concludes with a forward-looking research agenda that emerges from the gaps and open questions identified across the corpus.
