El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster analiza los procedimientos de auditoría aplicables al área de existencias en la sociedad Latitas, S.L.U., mediante un enfoque práctico basado en el ejercicio 2020.
Los objetivos de la investigación se orientan al análisis del marco normativo vigente en España, la revisión de las fases del proceso de auditoría y la evaluación de los resultados obtenidos mediante técnicas conforme a las Normas Internacionales de Auditoría y la normativa contable nacional.
La metodología adoptada contempla pruebas de cumplimiento, sustantivas y de control, con especial énfasis en la planificación y en la identificación de riesgos significativos en el entorno de la entidad.
Entre los hallazgos se identifican riesgos significativos en la valoración de repuestos, el cálculo de tasas horarias y la gestión de existencias en poder de terceros. Asimismo, se cuestiona la aplicabilidad de la normativa del Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas relativa al registro de los repuestos como inmovilizado, debido a su impacto en la eficiencia operativa y el control interno.
En consecuencia, el estudio plantea la conveniencia de adaptar la normativa contable a las condiciones operativas reales y propone líneas de investigación orientadas a la automatización y la incorporación de tecnologías avanzadas para mejorar los procedimientos de auditoría.

This Master's Thesis analyses the audit procedures applicable to the inventory area of the company Latitas, S.L.U., by means of a practical approach based on the 2020 financial year.
The objectives of the research focus on analysing the current regulatory framework in force in Spain, the review of the phases of the audit process, and the evaluation of the results obtained through techniques in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing and national accounting regulations.
The methodology adopted includes tests of compliance, substantive audit procedures and control assessments, with particular emphasis on the planning phase and the identification of significant risks in the entity's environment.
Among the findings, significant risks are identified in the valuation of spare parts, the calculation of hourly rates and the management of inventory held by third parties. Furthermore, the practical applicability of the regulations issued by the Spanish Institute of Accounting and Auditing regarding the classification of spare parts as fixed assets is questioned due to their impact on operational efficiency and internal control.
Consequently, the research highlights the importance of adapting accounting regulations to actual operational conditions and proposes lines of enquiry aimed at automation and the incorporation of advanced technologies to enhance audit procedures.
