This Master thesis addresses a major issue, namely the implementation of manipulative
resources aimed at students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the educational
setting, under the title "Implementation of manipulative resources for students with
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This project is structured into different intervention
sessions adapted to the interests of students with this disorder who are currently in
classrooms, with the aim of working on different activities designed to promote
meaningful learning through different playful and motivating strategies created from
the use of different materials and adapted to the needs of each student.
The main theme to be worked on stems from the need to promote educational inclusion
for students with ASD, given the current increase in the prevalence of the disorder and
the evolution of its diagnostic methods. This is based on the importance of using
different manipulative materials as pedagogical tools that facilitate social integration,
manipulation, and communication among students. Likewise, the importance of
working on this intervention among a group of educational agents willing to guarantee
an inclusive and collaborative environment is highlighted, always taking into account the
main objective of the project: to improve communication, participation, and emotional
development of students with ASD, enhancing the personal autonomy of each one of
them.
