El presente trabajo basa su propuesta en el objetivo de promover la motivación intrínseca por utilizar la lengua meta para comunicarse en el aula de ILE. Para ello, se propone el uso de la obra literaria y cinematográfica The Hunger Games como eje por el cual aprender la lengua en contexto, presentando una temática interesante que acerque al alumnado adolescente de 3.º de ESO a temas transversales, invitando a la reflexión y el debate. Además, se han diseñado una serie de actividades guiadas por el enfoque metodológico del Aprendizaje Cooperativo, de manera que se sitúe al estudiante en el centro del proceso de aprendizaje, identificando y practicando los contenidos al mismo tiempo que se comunica con su equipo de trabajo en la lengua vehicular de la asignatura. Todos estos factores hacen de esta programación una propuesta viable, con un gran potencial para su explotación en el aula.

The proposal in the present body of work is based on the goal of promoting intrinsic motivation for the use of the target language in the ESL classroom. In order to achieve this, the literary piece The Hunger Games has been set as the cornerstone that showcases and allows the learning of the second language in context, presenting an interesting and engaging theme which approaches teenage learners in third year of ESO to interdisciplinary topics, encouraging reflection and debate. Furthermore, the design of the learning activities has been led by the approach of Cooperative Learning, in order to place students in the center of their learning, as they identify and practice the linguistic contents while interacting with their team making use of the target language. All these elements, along with the careful planning of activities, make this a viable proposal with great potential for its exploitation in the classroom.
