Resumen:
A partir del concepto de potestad administrativa y sus características, se realiza una búsqueda de aquéllas que corresponden a la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos distribuidas por el ordenamiento jurídico.
Se presenta un análisis de las normas de la Unión Europea y españolas que le otorgan dichas potestades a la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, entre las que resaltan el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos y la Ley Orgánica 3/2018 en la gran dispersión de textos legales que las recogen.
De este modo, se muestra el complejo entramado normativo en el que se ubican las potestades administrativas de la citada autoridad española, poniéndose de manifiesto la necesaria profundización en su publicidad y transparencia para ampliar su comprensión entre la ciudadanía.

Based on the concept of administrative powers and their characteristics, a search is made of those that correspond to the Spanish Data Protection Agency distributed throughout the legal system.
An analysis is presented of the European Union and Spanish regulations that grant such powers to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, among which the General Data Protection Regulation and Organic Law 3/2018 stand out in the great dispersion of legal texts that include them.
In this way, the complex regulatory framework in which the administrative powers of the aforementioned Spanish authority are located is shown, highlighting the need to deepen its publicity and transparency in order to broaden its understanding among citizens.
