masterThesisResumen:
Chronic pain (CP) is a public health problem with a 17% prevalence rate in Spain. Psychological flexibility (PF) and pain acceptance (PA) are promising variables in the treatment of CD. The relationship between PF and perceived pain level (PD) was investigated in a sample of 10 participants (7 women), with a mean age of 51.50 (11.43), diagnosed with CD and undergoing combined treatment of therapeutic exercise (TE) and pain neuroscience education (PNE). The Pain Rating Scale, the Chronic Pain Acceptance Questionnaire and the Psychological Inflexibility to Pain Scale were used. Higher PF could be related to lower ND and higher AD. Treatment with ET and PNE could not be related to greater PF, but could be related to lower ND. It is proposed to study the relationship between PF and the combination of ET and PNE in future studies.
