Gracias a nuestros
Among the different audio-visual productions with which cinema has delighted us, the Star
Wars saga stands out for its soundtrack and for redefining the science fiction genre, a film
conceived by the American filmmaker George Lucas, who entrusted the American composer
John Williams to create its music. The object of our study will consist in the comprehension,
understanding and ability to study his music, through the analysis of the scores published by
Hal Leonard that can be found in these films. In order to do so, we will investigate how the
process of creating a soundtrack is, but also how John Williams ended up writing this music.
Thanks to our analysis we will elaborate a practical manual where the main musical resources
used will be exposed, understanding how an orchestral work that was born in 1977 with A
new Hope and that had its last episode in 2019 with The Rise of Skywalker, maintains a
symbolic intervallic union.
