De poco sirven los resultados científicos de las investigaciones de
Pedagogía o Didáctica experimental si no van seguidos de una aplicación práctica. Los estudios experimentales han de servir para aclarar los problemas teóricos y para ayudar a seleccionar las dificultades de la práctica.
La distancia que media entre el investigador y el maestro-realizador carece de enlace en nuestra organización docente.

Intuición, bis pedagógica, noción empírica, práctica, observación y
tantas otras expresiones son conceptos insuficientes, aunque no despreciables, cuando se intenta determinar con objetividad la eficiencia docente, la productividad discente, el progreso de la enseñanza, más concretamente, el rendimiento escolar, es decir, o alcanzado por un
alumno o alumnos en su proceso instruccional.
Sin embargo es deber pedagógico estiman: todos estos extremos, de
ahí la pregunta, ¿ existen algunos medios que permitan al educador
valorar el aspecto cuantitativo y cualitativo del aprovechamiento infantil
sin caer en la subjetividad tan desconcertante que los antiguos
exámenes escolares suministraban?, y haciendo nuestro el interrogante
¿hay posibilidad de medir objetivamente la situación de cada alumno
dentro del ámbito matemático? , ¿podemos expresar numéricamente
el rendimiento posible de cada sujeto en esta faceta del hacer escolar?

Las ideas educativas de K. Jaspers, muy poco estudiadas, se centran en el tema, típicamente existencial, de a subjetividad irreductible del ser humano. Esta subjetividad conduce a Jaspers al planteamiento del problema de los límites que atañen al actuar humano sobre el mundo, los cuales se hacen especialmente patentes en los fenómenos del "cuidado" y la "educación", de una parte, y del "obrar político", de otra. La educación aparece en el sistema de Jaspers como una tarea esencialmente problemática por encontrarse instalada entre la mera técnica, que únicamente concierne a puras objetividades, y la libre comunicación existencia, que es congruente con la naturaleza subjetiva de dos intimidades humanas. De ahí que, en un cierto y fundamental sentido, la educación aparezca como la paradójica tarea de tratar a un sujeto al modo de un objeto. Los límites que Jaspers señala a la educación son de carácter estrictamente subjetivo, y se refieren a la formalidad misma de la tarea educativa en cuanto que ésta constituye una especial manera de ponerse en relación dos existencias. No existe en el pensamiento de Jaspers una elaboración del problema de la finalidad del hacer educativo, sino únicamente un profundo estudio de su sentido e integración en el repertorio de las posibilidades existenciales.

The specific mission of the primary school inspection has been differently considered by the Administration. The XIXth. century had a very restricted idea on the inspection It was considered as a Government's instrument of control. This criterion prevailed during the first years of the XXth. century. It was in that time that there began the petition of statistical data on schools and teachers from the inspectors who were obligued to perform bureaucratic funtions. Later on the inspector's jurisdiction became wider and his social estimation rose, his power being reinforced by coercive measures on the teachers and by his intervention in all kind of bureaucratic proceedings concerning to the primary school. Afterwards the inspection was entrusted with the task of modelling the school and improving the schoolmaster. The inspector is no longer the spy of the thecher's faults. Now he moves on a higher level which mokes his presence to be agreeable and useful. The Primary Education Law assigns to the inspection a wide cultural mission which starting from the school influences parents' lives, the states's institutions and all kind of private enterprises.

In this article Dr. García Hoz means, in a purely informative way, to answer the question: "how are those educators formed who are neither teachers nor parents considedered as such educators?" In order to facilitate the understanding of this problem he centers his study in three different aspects, politic, religious and undifferentiated one. The author poses the problem of the relationship between education and politics' and points out the politic concern on educational questions. He explains the service which education renders to politics and shows the inter-action of both of them in Spain. He studies the double aspect of the religious and educational problem to show its influence on pedagogical method and on the catechistical societies and on the National Catholic Action. After explaining the existing link betwen the above mentioned fields and the undifferentiated social one he gives a complete account of the Spanish societies whose specific aims and characteristics are social. He ends by stating the utility of these formative types and the convenience of increasing their contact with the professional educational institutions.

One of the tests which is more used within the walls oy the primary school is that of the London school inspector Ballard's. Having account of the different Spanish versions and adaptations, Dr. Fernández Huerta has tried to determine not only the measurement corresponding to an actual group of primary school children but also sufficient datato reorganize and reduce the test so that its applicability and efficiency may be increased. To that end he has realized some experimental research considering the reliability of the test and the validity of each element. The coordinated study of both factors has allowed him to reduce the Ballard test to another tests of two thirds size is model. By means of some research, which he also presents, he has studied the existing correlation among numerous tests, linguistic and of general instruction, which has allowed him to feel himself optimistic as for the applicability of the Ballard test in spite of its special characteristics.

The purpose of the author is to discuss the psychological fundaments of the Herbart school and to point out its bearing on the modern pedagogical method. Starting from the statement that according to Herbart's opinion psychology is only applied metaphysics, he reviews the metaphysical principles on which Herbart bases his phylosophy and he especially insists on the study of his psychological conception. From that study he deduces those Herbart's ideas which are still living in contemporary didactics: the critical revisión of the ancient doctrine on general education; the enunciation of those didactical ways which were formerly attacked by the modern school to end by adopting several similar ones and finally the educational teacning principle which, after having been deprived of its exclusiveness, rules the methodological activities of all the modern pedagogues who do not base their professional task on utilitarianism.
