After the Master in Training Teachers for Secondary Education, it is time to reflect in this document the knowledge acquired at this stage, having the possibility of involving myself in an innovative project for teaching. Living in a globalized world brings global problems. The intention of this Master’s Thesis, from now on TFM (Trabajo Final Máster), is to take a deep approach on the most important aspects, as well as investigate and determine the influence of the burning fossil fuels, and the greenhouse gas emissions, in particular the study of carbon dioxide (CO2). For this reason, an instrument that calculates the emissions of different fossil fuels has been produced. This tool receives the name of CO2 emissions simulator. The aim of this project is to contribute on an educational improvement through the implementation of the simulator and also, to raise awareness among the students of the negative impact of the CO2 emissions. If we provide efficient tools to the future generations, the possibilities of changing this world into a better one are more promising. The best instrument to strengthen people’s commitment and values is to explain, on a categorical way, the reality through reliable data in order to get a critical and coherent attitude. Teaching professionals have the responsibility of guiding their students towards using different skills, strategies and procedures, and help them to follow their paths and life projects. Therefore teachers are essential to provide them knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. This TFM aims to provide the students with a higher capability level to face their educational tasks, as well as their future professional and social lives.es_ES
